1973 Amerigo FG16 Travel Trailer
Amerigo stands for old school fiberglass trailers at their best. This 1973 example is a true classic. It can be
compared to Scamp, Casita, and Burro, but this trailer stands out because it is more square in design, not
following the normal egg shell look and allowing for every inch to be utilized within. It has a heavy duty frame
with dual LP gas tanks. It has enough room to sleep 4 with a dining table that converts to a full size bed and a
long sofa that has a slide-out section, making it wide enough for two (great for the kids!). It has a range/oven.
The refrigerator operates on LP or 110v. The trailer has a furnace, but I do not think it has a water heater.
It does have a house battery, but we have not used it so I could not tell you the condition. There is a large
closet convenient for storing all those miscellaneous camping items or it can double as a bathroom if you use a
portable commode (not included). No AC. The tires are a little old (about 7 years) but appear to be in good
shape with no sidewall cracking and good tread. The spare tire must be replaced. The interior is built to last
in solid woods, not particle board.
