POLISHED VINTAGE AIRSTREAM! Highlights of Features: recent tires, brakes, 5 year old fridge, full
size bed - large storage area underneath, re-carpeted with commercial Berber carpet squares (plenty of extra squares), gas supply system
checked out--no leaks, new fittings, water system tested-no leaks,
closet approximately 6' long, cable run for satellite hookup, sway and
load leveler equipment, no leaks in skin or roof, original propane
tanks-both with updated fittings, all kitchen cabinets are original
and look great, kitchen counter is new, sink is new, and water faucet
is new. all electric sockets are working, shower and bath fixtures
(note: contol knobs in shower need to be replaced—just checked them
and they are no longer functional) all are working, hot water heater
has new electric igniter. Awning canvas is about 3 years old and in
good shape-two small tears are repaired, two small awnings on other
side--both in excellent shape, one awning support must be replaced. I
have recently pulled this unit approximately 1,000 miles with
absolutely no problem. We lived in it for approximately 5 months with
no problem. If it fits your needs, it is a unit you will love. If you
expect it to be like new it isn't. If you want a family heirloom, it
might be a good investment for your money and time. Never used central
heat-so assume it works, but don’t know. AC works but noisy. I removed
cook top and oven because I never used it. There is a quick connect
for gas, if you want to use it or can get a cook top for under$100, if
you wish, I replaced the black water tank with a straight 3.5 inch PVC
pipe. For me this was a better way to dump black water because black
water tanks are constantly getting clogged up with solids. The black
water just goes directly into the sewer or portable holding tank. It
smells much better and none of those nasty little flies
that somehow get in the black water tank. If a sewer connection is not
available I use a portable holding tank (furnished).
