1978 Argosy 24 Motorhome
Chevrolet 454 engine, automatic transmission.
I bought this RV last fall in Denver, Colorado. I had the P.O. replace both the start and house battery. Had a leak down test performed, brakes bled, 2 universals, and replaced a couple of radiator hoses, and had a Bosch 3 gauge instrument panel installed as the whole dash is out. The Bosch shows voltage, oil pressure, and temp. The dash fault is probably a common ground as everything but the speedometer/odometer (which I suspect is mechanical) and a vacuum gauge that tells you how your doing mileage wise (glorified idiot light using vacuum) is the only thing on the dash that is working.
I drove it a 1000 miles home (using odometer for fuel estimate) and it did fine. Headlights, brake lights, turn signals, wipers work. Some interior lighting. Tracks true, stops true.
Nice unit, appears to have never been hit. Older 4k gen set that worked fine on the way home, has been acting up last time I fired it up. (suspect fuel filter or pump, easy fix).
Apparently, this is a "short body" 24' and desirable. Rear bath, 2/3 original interior. Settee/bed was removed by previous owner. Stove, fridge, bathroom all stock and intact, just have not checked systems.
Tires are in good shape. Been sitting for the winter. I have plenty of room and it's currently stored underneath a metal garage.
* When this unit was for sale in March of 2019, it had an asking price of $5,000.*
