1977 Airstream Argosy 24' Motor Home Vehicle Description This 24 foot, 1977 Airstream Argosy Motor Home with 84,300 miles was donated to our local Catholic church. I have volunteered to sell it on behalf of the church. This motor home is built on a Chevy one-ton chassis (dual wheels) and has a Chevy 454 engine. It is fully self-contained with A/C, Onan generator, fridge, stove, hot water, sink, furnace, toilet & shower. This motor home sleeps 4 on two folding couches. The motor home runs and drives; engine and transmission appear to be in good working order, however there is an exhaust manifold leak that will require fixing. The motor vehicle inspection expired in September 2001 and it has only been driven 20 miles in the past 12 months. I have started the generator and the rooftop A/C unit and they both work well. It is still winterized from last year and I have not checked the water or waste systems, nor have I checked those items that run off the propane such as the fridge, stove, furnace or hot water. All manuals are included. Vehicle Condition Good overall mechanical condition except for exhaust manifold leak on engine. Original interior (mustard yellow) could use updating. Interior and exterior could use some TLC. Tires are in very good condition. The rear plywood cargo container (just ahead of trailer hitch) is rotting and should be removed and replaced.
