1977 Argosy 20' Motorhome
Chevy 454 engine, new generator, new shocks (coil with airbags), upgraded to 16" wheels and tires in 2012.
Includes the very hard to find 'Roto-Dinette' convertible seating/bed.
It’s running well, AC works, everything worked last time we camped but got a leak in the plumbing in closet of rear bath (not repaired).
Good tread on tires (but rig has not traveled or been camped in since 2017).
Brake work recently done (changed out the front right caliper), insulated the generator compartment and had the new Honda generator installed.
The interior is really good almost original. Previous owner changed the upholstery to taupe and carpet to beige.
The tambours work and have original plastic drawers.
The curtains are original but have disintegrated due to washing, age and heat since Argosy lives in my driveway in NJ.
Exterior was great, but has chipped paint now from East Coast weather.
Appraised in 2012 with a value of $18,500.
We drove it across country and camped a handful of times.
The mileage just urned to 52,000 miles when I drove it around the neighborhood and went for gas this week.
We mostly towed a 2002 25’ Airstream Safari when we camped.
Notes:
-Step is stuck out.
-Window seals all need replacing.
-Paint job obviously.
-Needs front wheel wrap around s replaced.
-Full mechanical work- up, tune up hasn’t been done since we used it.
-Not sure if rig should drive long distance as is.
* When this unit was for sale in September of 2023, it had an asking price of $20,000.*
