1975 Airstream Argosy Motorhome 24
About 8 years ago while driving around in the mountains of central Kentucky I came across this Argosy. It was sitting on a vacant plot of land with no houses nearby. After talking to some of the nearby neighbors I found out who owned it and tracked them down. They had purchased the Argosy about 30 years ago and drove up to their mountain property and used it as a cabin for visitors. About 9 years ago they dragged it out of the woods and parked it where I found it. The Argosy does NOT have a title. After a little negotiating we agreed on a price and I hired a roll off tow truck to pick it up and transport it to my place.
I had no use for it then and I don't have a use for it now. My goal was to save it from being scrapped. It would be a very good source for hard or impossible to find parts that are unique to the Argosy model of motorhomes. The windows alone are worth more than I'm asking for it. I don't know if a title can be obtained or not. The interior smells strongly of rodents, among other things.
I believe the engine is a Chevy 454 with an automatic transmission. The tires currently hold air. It has not moved from beside my shop for about 7 years now. The aluminum bumpers look great and appear to be straight.
I do not know if the engine runs or the condition of any of the mechanical parts. I do know the drive train appears to be complete as is most of the interior. It is missing the toilet and other small odds and ends, and an exterior curved panel that covers the lower section of chassis below floor the line is also missing.
I have way to many irons in fire and at some point in the near future I'm going to have to relocate, possibly out of state so I need to start clearing out anything that I can't take with me. The Argosy is located near Richmond Kentucky. I'm not looking to make a profit on it, breaking even would be nice. I just don't want to see it go to the scrap yard, which is why I dragged it out of the mountains in the first place.

I generally don't answer phone numbers I don't recognize so please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
