1986 Airstream 290 Motor Home

Vehicle Description
This is a 1986 Airstream 290 classic motorhome. The 290 is a rare find. It has a wonderful floor plan with rear queen bed and split bathroom. The interior has gorgeous oak cabinetry and brand new natural wood blinds on the windows; both complement each other nicely. The parquet floor is in great shape as well. The refrigerator has been upgraded, but a microwave will need to be added, if you so desire. The heating and A/C systems work well as does the water system.The 290 is a dream to drive; short enough to manuever well, yet long on comfort. She has leveling jacks, and a back up camera, and is powered by a Chevy 454 gas engine and turbo 400 transmission. The exterior is beautiful; near flawless actually, but she sustained an Austin hail storm. The top has a few dings in it, but many will disappear with the use of a suction cup. The A/C shrouds and vent covers have some war wounds and can easily be replaced. Due to the damage, the insurance company "totaled" the vehicle, but, really, the top is where the damage is and unless you fly or can levitate you would never notice. Such as it is, the Airstream will have a Texas salvage title; and consequently be a real bargain. The odometer reads just over 105k and she runs and drives just great. The Onan 6.5kw generator runs excellent too!
