1979 Airstream Excella 24' Classic Motorhome
Top of the line Excella model and rare small size of 24 feet, 86450 miles, Runs and drives, Comes with all keys
and lots or original paperwork. Has factory Onan generator and Roof AC with heat strip.
Has a General Motors 454 V8 with automatic transmission. Runs good and shifts smooth. Starts right up.
Runs and drives great! Just had a $760.00 repair job on the thermostat and fan clutch. The Mentor RV mechanic said the engine & transmission runs strong.
- All the exterior lights work, including brake lights, turn signals and fog lights.
- Lots of instructions and paperwork on motorhome systems. See PIC.
- ALL ORIGINAL INTERIOR, except for the refrigerator. The frame work that goes around an RV refrigerator is there.
- The upholstery in in good usable condition. No tears, stains or visible wear.
- The dashboard is in good condition. No cracks.
- Carpet is usable, but dated.
- All interior closet latches are in great shape. Keys included.
- Tires are good, I just purchsed a new tire for the left front on 11/19/2010, to match the other newer tire on passenger front (2010).
- AC and heat strip works. Dash AC/heater needs adjustment or repair.
- Water and propane systems work. The hot water system worked this past spring per the PO. It has been winterized.
- Comes with factory generator that works well with a push of a button on the inside control panel or the outside panel.
- Has Gray tank, Black tank and Fresh water tank.
- Body is pretty good with some dings etc. Underneath looks good, however there is some rust inside 2 of the access compartments bottoms.
- The windows are all intact, but need new seals. The roof vent is intact with a circulating fan. No leaks.
- The floor is solid throughout.
- This rare Airstream will polish like a mirror and I offer free lessons with pics,
- The step is automatic and works well. It opens when you open the door and quietly stows away when you close it.
- Comes with a factory ice maker with the original paperwork. I do not know if this works.
- The factory Onan generator works with both the inside switch and the outside switch.
- Comes with a receiver hitch that can tow up to 4,000 pounds. (Factory rated)
- This motorhome is sold as is, where is. No stated or implied warranty. I have described it to the best of my ability and knowledge.
