1951 GMC 3301 Buses for restoration/renovation
TWO 1951 GMC Coach PGA 3301 Military Buses originally commissioned for the US Army. These are very rare buses! They were used to transport soldiers in the 1950’s and 60’s. There were only 1500 of these special buses made and I am perhaps the only person to have TWO of them in possession and for sale! Clear Oklahoma titles to both buses. One title is for a Motor Home bus and the other a Coach Bus.
In 1971, these buses were discharged and sold as surplus. A private individual from Midwest City, Oklahoma bought them and sold them to my father who took them to Tuttle, Oklahoma.
In 1973, my father converted one of the buses into a motor home (PGA3301258). What a head turner and conversation piece – We could never drive the “Motor Home Bus” ANYWHERE without someone wanting to check it out! We drove the “Motor Home Bus” to the Gulf Coast, Port Aransas, Texas and to many other vacation attractions.
One bus is still in its original configuration, PGA3301323. It has the original old army bus seats! Original driver’s seat and controls! Even the original tires!! Check out the original signage in the overhead which states passengers under the age of 21 cannot smoke on the bus! My how times have changed! My dad owned these buses for almost 50 years! Rust and repairs are to be expected.
Be creative! These buses would make great conversions into Food Trucks/Bus, Beer Bus, Taco Bus, BBQ Bus, Sports Bar Bus, Parades, Parties, Fair Food Bus, Camping, rent for Glamping campers on your property, Background for photographs, Veteran Tours, History Buffs and so much more!
Both are rare and beautiful buses that deserve someone to take them home, restore one or both of them, and enjoy!
