1951 GMC 3301 Bus Conversion Exhibit "A"

1951 GMC 3301 Bus Conversion Motorhome (A)
1951 GMC 3301 Bus Conversion

This is a one of a kind beautiful example of American engineering and design! This 1951 GM Coach bus was originally in the U.S. Army, transporting soldiers. There were only 1500 of these special buses made. It has the Flexible style rear, plus the front end of the previous years for GM. In 1971, it was discharged and sold as surplus. (see picture in the magazine) . It was sold to a private individual who did most of the work, design, and engineering. In the early 90's, the owner sold it to another private party, then I bought it in 2003. I have updated the plumbing with current piping, installed a new commode, put in a new propane furnace, new refrigerator, and maintained it well. I will try to list as many features as possible. This bus (The Blue Ghost) was featured in the RV magazine as it's centerfold (see the picture). The Blue Ghost runs great and is road worthy! It can run on the interstate and keep up with the flow of traffic. What a head turner and conversation piece - I can never drive this ANYWHERE without someone wanting to check it out! It is a rare and beautiful bus that deserves someone to take it, care for it, and enjoy it!

There is some surface rust in places - mainly around some of the screws on the sides where panel were installed. The paint job was last updated in the early 90's, so it is twenty years old and has some flaws, but this bus has been stored mainly in a carport for the past several years. The speedometer has not worked for the 10 years I have owned this bus, but I have put approximately 3000 miles on it during this time.
