2004 Airstream Safari 28' Travel Trailer This model has the slide out. It was purchased new in 2005 off the lot. We have made a few modifications to it in order to be self contained. My husband has extended the back bumper and installed a custom made 100 gal gas tank to power the Generator. The propane tanks have been relocated to the rear stationed on top of the gas tank. The new generator has replaced the forward propane tanks, this a fabricated cover. both the top of the generator and propane tanks have snap on covers in black. The generator is a Honda 6.5 KW, water cooled, 2 cylinder, which if fed by the back gas tank. So, you can stop where ever you want and don't have to plug in! It also has 2 fantastic fans, which it sences rain they will automatically close. . We also have 2 tv's instead of the one that comes with the trailer. One of them has a built in DVD player. and upgraded 8 ply tires, Last it has load levelers and sway bars. New carpet in the living and dining room areas! Archived 12/06/2008 |
