2004 Airstream International CCD 28' Travel Trailer We are selling our lightly used 2004 Airstream travel trailer. It’s in exceptionally good condition. This camper is the “CCD” Christopher C. Deem designed model with shiny aluminum paneling on the inside as well as the outside. It also features stainless refrigerator, flat screen tv and the upgraded Sony/Bose sound system. This unit has been lovingly maintained by a retired military officer. We will include several “extras” that you have to buy when you purchase a new trailer. These include the installed Hensley Arrow towing hitch, which sells for about $3,000. With this load-distributing hitch, we’ve easily towed the trailer using a Chevy Tahoe with 5.3 liter engine and towing package. We’ll also include the McKesh wide-load side view mirrors we use when towing and the prodigy brake controller that’s currently installed on our Tahoe. (The brake controller connects the brakes in the Airstream to the brakes in the towing vehicle.) Further, we’ll include the aluminum wheel chocks, the aluminum front jack stand and plate, several power cords and an electrical service surge protector to use when hooking up at campgrounds. My internet search shows new units like this are selling for about $75,000, plus the added costs for the upgrades. In its life, this camper has made 3 summer trips between Florida and Maine, and was lightly used during the school year for short trips around Florida. We’ve relocated to the beach in North Carolina and have a summer place in the mountains, so we won’t have much chance to use it for the next several years. I will deliver up to 500 miles for a full price offer. If you need a tow vehicle, we’d consider selling our 2005 Chevy Tahoe which is equipped with the factory towing enhancement and four wheel drive, at the Kelly Blue Book value, which is around $18,000; but we’d also be just as happy to sell just the trailer.
