1981 Airstream Excella II 22' Travel Trailer Exhibit "B"

1981 Airstream Excella II 22’ Travel Trailer Very RARE floorplan! Trailer is a 1981 Excella II model 22’ long, tandem axle with Zip Dee awnings on the curbside and streetside. This is a narrow body trailer along the lines of the Argosy Minuet but with more windows and a fancier interior. This trailer is very nimble to move around and easily towed by a smaller vehicle. Dry weight is approximately 3,500 lbs. The tandem axles makes this trailer easy to back into the tightest campsites. I originally purchased this trailer in the spring of 2007 with the intentions of keeping it a long time so I didn’t spare any extra work or expense. The trailer originally needed some work because it sat for so many years without use. The following has been done since March 2007: Frame has been sandblasted and painted with Eastwoods Rust Encapsulator and Chassis paint. New subfloor in the front and rear with 3 coats of exterior polyurethane to seal the wood and a drip edge to keep moisture from entering the edges. New floor insulation. Painted the belly pan with silver Rustoleum paint New Dexter axles/drums/brakes/shocks/lugnuts (May 2010) Rebuilt the Thetford dump valves. Goodyear Marathon tires (March 2007) Repainted the lower aluminum edge wrap to the original color. New Allure traffic master vinyl flooring. New pex plumbing. New taillight gaskets. New door and window seals Renewed exterior caulking with Parbond and Vulkem New vent gasket. Shower pan, walls and sink refinished with Eastwoods white hardnose paint New wall paper in bathroom. Original Moen faucets have new cartridges. New coils on the refridgerator. New Whisper King water pump. New Shurflo accumulator. Furnace cleaned and working. New Atwood 6 gallon water heater New Carrier heat pump (March 2010). New Thetford toilet. New 3 speed reversible Fantastic Fan. (2009) Skyliner Aerial has new o-ring seals and gear - works great with digital tv. New Window tint (May 2010) New cushions including high quality foam. Professionally made curtains to match the original New 30 lb steel LP tanks. New LED clearance lamps (Grote – made in USA ) New AC GFI breakers New breakaway switch New hoses on fresh water fill Rebuilt the dining area to be more sturdy. Installed a 12v power point to charge cell phone New BAL stabilizer’s New Level Master level New Progressive Dynamics Inteli-power charge/convertor with Charge Wizard Group 24 AGM battery Waxed 1x per year and stored inside during the winter months The last few items to finish on this trailer is the exterior blue stripe, paint the Airstream letters, and lid for the LP gas cover. We have taken the trailer on both short and long trips and have really enjoyed it. This trailer is absolutely ready for the road – hookup and go traveling!! Archived 6/06/2010
