1979 Blue Bird Wanderlodge FC-33 Motorhome
The unit has a 3208 Caterpillar Engine that is strong and easily maintained.
This unit has ALL the paperwork from Day 1 to Today in binders and boxes with all kinds of valuable information. There is even a Group of these people who have them and cherish them and all help out on sharing info whether it be the simple questions about preventative maintenance to location of parts or where the next yearly rally will be at.
Unit has an all metal curved roof that will never leak, ribbed also to strengthen and channel water and snow away. plus sturdy enough for people stand on it, or even put a luggage carrier container as we do. There are also rail that surround the entire top to assist it tying off things o making sure nobody falls off if there are up there. No vinyl or plastic walls or ceilings that become brittle and break. The Interior is near to perfect in its condition. So it has that retro look; but is been kept up so well that you would think you have stepped back in time. Looking at the pictures you'll understand. But unlike some of its competitors Wanderlodge DID NOT use cheap materials on inside so no cheap gaudy paneling, and the vinyl materials were tuffeted and done by seamstresses, all hardware was top of line stainless to make sure everything closed and locked properly. Even the blinds are top of the line. And if you need lighting there is choice throughout the bus of small incandescent lightbulbs, to directional lights, and even fluorescent lights so no matter where, even in a closet you are illuminated.
In the Kitchen you have a four burner propane gas stove, an Electric Convection Microwave (so it also browns your food like any other convection oven) and still has versatility of a Microwave. The Side by side Refrigerator operates 3-ways; off of electricity (either off generator, or is also propane gas powered, and once your at a site you can use their electric or yours. It also has a large crisper section underneath to keep add'l food or drinks cold. It also has a built-in blender (although glass container is broke and you would need to find replacement. It has a 2 bin stainless sink just a little bit smaller then home with Delta faucet and sprayer along with a water filter underneath for good drinking water.
One of the advantages of this unit is it has a Full Bathroom with a complete Garden Tub/shower and removable shower massage, a nice Lavatory sink with a 4 foot counter giving ample room for toiletries and a normal size toilet with additional sprayer whether the kids had an accident or you want to clean the bowl. It also has 2 closets and four drawers for room for towels, sheets, health stuff, etc. And of course an exhaust fan. Multiple mirrors including a full length one.
As for sleeping there are 2 regular twin beds in back, divided off from the rest; along with possibly sqeezing someone into the dining table (good for kids or short person. Then the front two couches were made to be either Two regular twin beds or with specifically made wood and using back cushion that otherwise end up on floor to fill in the middle and you have a that is over 6 1/2 feet long by over 8 feet wide so 4 adults could easily sleep in it (daughter for college break had 4 I that bed. There is also a bed that you can pull down from ceiling to be above drivers seats but we never tried it. You could also not use it as a big bed and put a third person in between the Front and Back set of beds.
There are 3 Roof top HVAC units that provide both Cooling and Heat. There are also 4 Baseboards heaters that run each individual as someone might like their are hotter or cooler then someone else so you have that choice. Each unit has its own wall thermostat.
It also comes with a Large Fresh water tank of 100 gallons, 90 gallon grey water and 100 black water (sewage).
