1979 Airstream Excella 24' Exhibit "B"

1979 Airstream Excella 24' Motor Home

Vehicle Description
This is a very nice original 1979 Airsteam Excella 24' Motorhome. It has spent most of it's life in SW United States. As the pictures show, it has been very well cared for by it's long time "super senior citizen" owners. The current mileage is 106,977. The GM454 engine was replaced at 99,000 miles - we are trying to get the receipts from the previous owner. It is equipped with dash & roof air. Onan generator is in working order. This classic Airstream was used on a regular basis until it was donated. This year Airstream is constructed of an aircraft aluminum alloy which will polish to a very high gloss.

More details about the motor home:
We live in Iowa and had the Motor Home pressure checked and winterized before delivered to me in January.
(It had been stored in a heated building until then.)
New Engine less than 10,000 miles ago.
Exhaust system was replaced less than 3000 miles ago - $1241 - have receipt.
New ball joints in front.
Has 2 new batteries.
Fuel pump replaced 1 year ago. Have receipts.
The roof air and heat seemed to work, but it was only 40 degrees out that day.
Onan Generator - runs like it should, after a carburetor adjustment.
The automatic step works.
It has a CB radio - haven't tried to use it.
We could not get the furnace to work.
The LP on the refrigerator lights, but does not cool, maybe a recharge is all that is needed.
I am installing a rebuilt Brake Booster ($245 without labor), and also a right rear wheel cylinder. The rear brake shoes and front caliper pads are very good, almost new. - Have receipts.
There are no rips or tears in the upholstery.
There are curtains for the windshield and side windows of the driving compartment.
The rear window has a shade.
There are mini blinds on the other windows.
The stove and hot water heater work.
The stove has a spark ignition instead of a match for the burners and oven.
There are owners manuals and shop manuals for the Motor Home.
The air bags of the chassis suspension hold air.
There are no signs of water leaks, and we had a rain with wind after we had gotten it home.
The monitor for the holding tanks and LP works.
There is a 2" Reese type receiver with an electrical plug.
There are 110 and 12V outlets at the table behind the front passenger seat.
All of the outside compartment doors lock that are supposed to, except for the generator door.
The tires are all excellent condition with very little wear.

Vehicle Condition I believe it has the original clear coat which is coming off in places (mostly on the roof). No serious dents. The right front section outer skin may have been replaced.

Location: Duncombe, IA
