Cumberland Falls State Park

We had reservations for Cumberland Falls State Park for three days. When we arrived, the campground was very small and packed tightly together. I do not recommend this park for anything other than a small to medium rig. We ended up leaving because there were at least four large dogs roaming around loose. While we don't mind dogs and we have one of our own, these did not look like family friendly puppies either. Normally we could have just alerted the host but this was a very tightly packed place and they would have known it was us that complained. Since we would not feel comfortable in that situation, we decided to leave. Clearly the campground hosts and Rangers do not enforce the leash rule!

There is no easy path to the falls from the campground. Your options are really to hike a long trail or drive.

Recommendation: Go visit the (beautiful) falls and stay somewhere else.
