Dating Tips and Hints

This grill was used from 1974 to 1976. Note the single round headlights on either side. This grill is only found on the Argosy units.
Here is the grill used from 1977 on. Note the dual headlights.
The white roll-up overhead bins were used on the first Airstream branded motor home in 1978 through the 1985 model year and on a few 1986 models.
These wood bins replaced the white roll-up overhead bins on most 1986 models and all models after that.
This is the original Airstream engine cover. It was used on the 1979 to 1984 models.
The wood grain engine cover was used from 1985 to 1988.
The non-wood grain engine cover was used from 1989 to 1992.
Note the vent behind the wheel well. This was added some time in 1986 to help cool the engine compartment. The vent is on all models through 1992.
This fabric was used in 1984 only. Many owners have replaced it but you still see it on some models for sale.
