1991 Airstream Land Yacht 30' Motorhome
I have just recently completed this "One of a Kind" motor coach. To better describe the vehicle, I must explain the history behind the customizations.
I had been looking for a Class A Motorcoach for tail gating, travel to soccer tournaments, volleyball tournaments, and to go camping. Unfortunately, no
motor coach existed that met my criteria under 45'-0.Therefore, I designed the perfect 30' coach. I selected the absolute best make "Airstream Land Yauct"
and literally reconstructed / refurbished the entire coach. The result is a new looking motor coach that seats 15 comfortably, has a 32" TV with complete
gaming area/ dvd in the rear, huge 25" flip down video / gaming in the front of the coach, Ipod hook-ups, VDVs, VCR, and sleeps 6.
During the research process I learned that there are cheap inexpensive coaches and state of the art expensive coaches. Everyone experienced recognizes
Airstream to be a top of the line RV. Here is a list of reasons why: This coach came equipped with 454 engine, Onin 6500 Generator (not a smaller 4500),
all disc brakes, 4 leveling jacks, dual A/C, Alcoa Aluminum Wheels, Leather Package for front bucket seats, etc., deluxe lavatory, heated extended mirrors,
real oak cabinets, aluminum encased awnings, 2" receiver hitch, and of coarse the remote spotlight. This coach cost $96,730.00 (invoice shown) in 1991.
Now this is what I learned. Almost all used motor coaches for sale have been sitting for a while. When this happens you have major issues. In my case,
all disc brakes had to be replaced(only 8 months old), power steering replaced, engine rebuilt, etc., etc.. I fixed 100% of the issues which cost me over
$23,000.00. Being naive, I anticipated just some brake pads, tune up, change of filters.
In addition to mechanical items, I added new headliner, new rubber roof, new carpet, new color backup camera, new exterior paint, added TV's, stereo, gaming
area, replaced queen bed with u-shaped comfortable couch (have custom insert to convert total back area into huge bed), and made conversion so both air
conditioners can be on while driving down the road. Lastly, a custom steel rack for the spare tire and additional storage. Also have the car hauler hitch
for towing a car.
I am selling this beautiful coach because I need to purchase a new car and simply do not have the money. The only question you may have is thus, Why do you
not have slideouts? The answer is simple after talking to many mechanics. The most issues with any RV is the slideouts. They get stuck, need adjusted all
of the time, and leak air when traveling down the road. I wanted to keep it simple and minimize issues. My family only goes camping once or twice a year;
therefore, the major use of the vehicle is traveling comfortably. Yes, we have transported an entire soccer team + 2 parents to Charlotte. Kids had a blast.
Coach has seat belts.
Mileage: 55,467 miles
Payment must be in certified funds. I have most receipts and all manuals. All work was done by reputable motor coach mechanics.
