Airstream Ambulance Vehicle Description: "This is a 1987 Airstream. It was built by Airstream as an ambulance. I have the blueprints to prove it. I was attracted to it in the fact that the rear hatch swings open like an SUV. It is powered by GM 454. When built by Airstream the body was painted white. The paint is 3 years old and I had the lower (Black) protected by Line-X the roof (Tan) as well. The interior was gutted. I replaced a portion of the floor before carpeting. The sofa (NEW) pictured folds into a bed, the table down to a 1 person bed. The upper cabinets have lights. The roof top air is powered by a NEW Onan generator. We used this "rig" for skiing. We would put a small bar fridge and a microwave,TV and we were set! This unit has no water hook-ups at all. The Mileage is 54,000. I had the brakes and front end serviced last year. Batteries are new this year(2)." Vehicle Condition: "Exterior: Paint is in good shape." "Interior: Clean, carpeting 2 years old, side windows new, new captains chairs and sofa." Location: Salem, Ohio Text and pictures from ebay auction listing. Used with owners permission. Archived 7/17/2004 |
