1982 Airstream Funeral Coach Exhibit "A"

1982 Airstream Funeral Coach

It started life as a 1982 Family Funeral Coach at A M Gamby Mortuary in Lomita, CA on September 20, 1982. I spoke to someone at the AM Gamby and it was always configured with a regular motorhome fitting from the rear section forward with the doors for the rear casket and flowers. It was regularly used to take the casket and the families to the cemetary, including the National Cemetary in Riverside.

The large side rear door for the casket is still in place on the curb side, and there are traces inside of the large side rear door on the driver's side, but the drivers outside has been refinished at some point and the opening on the driver's side has been covered over. The rear section has had a makeshift conversion into a bedroom with a East-West Queen bed.

Other receipts with the vehicle are from Orlando, FL in 1999 and Oakwood, GA in 2000. It is currently based in Alpharetta, GA and used to tow a race car around the South East and for visiting the Top Of Georgia Airstream Park in Helen, GA.
